We’re a local crew, not a rotating cast. The people who show up at your door in San Jose are the same ones who answer our phones, spec your insulation, and stand behind the work 365 days later. No subcontractor roulette. No nameless techs. Just a team that’s spent years crawling through South Bay attics, and knows exactly what a Willow Glen summer or an Almaden Valley winter does to a house. We’re independently owned and operated under the Kingswell banner, which means the people on this page are the people accountable for your job.
Our People
Glenn Hartley, Owner
Glenn has been in the insulation trade long enough to remember when fiberglass batts were the whole conversation. He opened this San Jose Woolsey location because he saw too many Bay Area homes getting generic insulation specs that ignored how differently each house behaves. Glenn’s approach is simple: diagnose honestly, price in writing before anything starts, and if it’s not right, come back and fix it. That’s the 365-Day Done Right Promise, and it’s his name on the line. When he’s not walking a job site, Glenn can usually be found on a weekend hike in the Santa Cruz Mountains, usually complaining that the fog rolled in faster than forecast. He’ll tell you wool was the first insulation. Woolsey keeps the idea in the name.
Marcus T., Lead Technician
Marcus has spent eleven years working in San Jose attics, and he’s the guy who trained most of our install crew. His specialty is spray foam insulation, a two-part liquid that expands on contact and seals gaps airtight. Marcus knows exactly how much expansion a given San Jose crawlspace can handle, and he’s careful about the high-heat attics in places like Evergreen and Berryessa where proper ventilation matters as much as the insulation itself. He’s certified across several of the brands we work with, including Owens Corning and Demilec. Off the clock, Marcus coaches his daughter’s soccer team and has strong opinions about which San Jose taquerias get the rice ratio right.
Priya S., Senior Installer
Priya joined Woolsey San Jose four years ago after working in residential remodeling, which means she understands how insulation fits into the larger picture of a house without ever pretending to do the other trades. Her specialty is blown-in attic insulation, and she’s known for leaving job sites genuinely cleaner than she found them. Priya is our go-to for older homes in Naglee Park and the Rose Garden district, where tight attics and decades-old framing require patience and precision. She’s Rockwool-certified and keeps our material decisions honest, pulling from eight leading brands so the recommendation fits the house rather than whatever’s sitting on the truck. Priya is also an avid gardener who can identify most San Jose backyard fruit trees at a glance, which makes her useful on more than just the insulation side of a home visit.
Danny R., Service Coordinator & Apprentice Installer
Danny is the person who most likely answers when you call (669) 333-3579. He coordinates schedules, confirms arrival windows, and tracks every job through to the written guarantee. But he’s also out in the field two or three days a week learning the install side from Marcus and Priya, which means he can actually answer technical questions when you call, not just read from a script. Danny’s the one who keeps the clean job site promise intact and makes sure each customer gets their written price before any work starts. He grew up in San Jose, went to school over off Capitol Expressway, and still claims the best banh mi in the city is the one you find in a strip mall with zero curb appeal. He’s usually right.
